Date Finger Sandwiches

These are another simply, easy finger food that I put together for morning teas and parties. These are so simple to make and are always a crowd pleaser. With only four ingredients these are easily whipped up for anyone.

Ingredients; Loaf bread (of your choice), 250gm Cream Cheese (softened), 500gm Fresh Dates, 6 Long Stems of Celery, Salt and Pepper to taste.

Remove seeds from dates and chop roughly. Slice celery into very fine and small slices. Place cream cheese, dates and celery into a bowl and mix to combine. No need to over mix, just ensure there are dates and celery spread through the cheese.

Spread mixture across one slice of bread ensuring the entire slice is covered, place another slice of bread on top. Repeat this process until you have made sandwiches from the entire loaf of bread. This is where I usually wrap the sandwiches in greaseproof paper and cling wrap, then refrigerate until needed. This can be done the day before even. After they have refrigerated for sometime open all sandwiches and remove crusts with a sharp knife, cut sandwiches in half and serve. Alternatively you can cut them however you would like to serve them.

Enjoy
