Salmon Vol au Vents

These are a super tasty and fancy, yet simple finger food. I usually make these to take to work morning teas. They are easy and have very few ingredients. The last time I made these instead of mixing the chives in with the cream cheese mixture I cut them into long strips and placed two on the top , for a fancier presentation.

36 Ready made Vol au Vent cases, 250g Cream Cheese, Tablespoon Fresh Chives, 50g Smoked Salmon, Salt and Pepper for seasoning.

In food processor blend on high speed salmon, softened cream cheese and chives. Add salt and pepper to taste. Spoon this mixture into a piping bag and store in the fridge until ready to use it.

Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Place Vol au Vent cases on oven trays an heat until crisp and warmed through, approximately 10 mins. Remove cases from the oven, fill each case with the salmon mixture using either a piping nozzle, or by simply cutting an opening in the bag. Serve immediately.
